The Little Bird

I was invited to my first store opening as a Blogger last Thursday and i snapped some pictures below. The Little Bird is a new consignment store in Houston.  Prada, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent & Fendi are a few of  the labels that grace the racks. I had a great time thank you to the PR Boutique for my invitation!

This was my favorite rack; full of Chanel. I die for Chanel tweed jackets; Rachel Zoe obsessed.

The event was straight after work so i changed my shoes to leopard pumps and taa daa! This is a great outfit if you work in a business casual environment. Sweater; Ann Taylor. Button Up; Ann Taylor. Pencil Skirt; Banana. Leopard Pumps; Coach (great pair here). Bib Necklace; H&M. Bracelet; Banana. Watch; Michael Kors. Purse; Tory Burch (Love this!).

$aving$$$$$$

I have decided to give myself an extremely challenging challenge....drum roll please......no shopping for the month of October!!!!....insert jaw drop. I hope to show all my fabulous readers that there are already new stylish outfits in your closet & mine. Here are my stipulations 1) I am allowed to buy a new outfit for my Birthday ...(one of the reasons i picked this month!) 2) I can shop at H&M when i visit Boston in a few weeks because we currently don't have one Houston....totally logical; obviously for the readers benefit.....not mine....hehehe.

First budget friendly trend is 2 ways to wear skinny cargo pants. First outfit above is perfect for Saturday brunch or running errands. Pants- one of my new favorites. Top- Banana (Love this swing top) Cardigan- Ann Taylor (cardigan) Shoes- Ann Taylor Loft (Or mix in a print) Michael Kors Watch and various bracelets.

And change...now you are ready for a night on the town! Blouse- Ann Taylor (Also have this) Shoes- DSW (Like these) Purse- Tory Burch (Craving this clutch) Necklace- Francesca's. Watch-Michael Kors.

Check back in for more budget friendly outfits in October. Naturally i will be frequenting the mall in the next few days to satisfy my shopping addiction before the Challenge date hits......dun dun dun.

High Tea

Tea and Turquoise traveled the Atlantic last week to visit the homeland for a couple of weeks! I decided to share my traveling essentials. From previous experience your carry on bag can end up being your only bag; so I spent entirely too much time deciding what to pack.....and consequently forget my camera charger....oops.

1. Variation of Magazines (catching up on my UK gossip)
2. IPad, Kindle or the old fashioned paperback books (currently reading "The Help")
3. Calming music to help you sleep.....currently listening to Adele 21.

4. Cashmere sweater; essential to keep warm and double as a blanket
5. Scarf; multiple purposes here; cover your eyes to sleep ( I got some funny looks on this one), double as a pillow, wrap as a headband or wrap over your head when you land to look extra fabulous!
6. Pack a clutch in your carry on to save on packing space and store hair and make up essentials, lip balm, hand lotion and tylenol PM.
7. One phone/camera charger.....oops!

Happy labor day friends! More fall Europe outfit posts to come this week...

Hello Fashionistas!

Skirt: Ann Taylor (Similar here)
Shirt: Old Navy (Love this one! )
Belt: Old Navy
Necklace: J Crew
Wedges: Banana Republic (On sale here! )
Watch: Michael Kors; Bracelets: Jcrew & Banana.

Welcome to Tea and Turquoise!  I haven't wore this skirt in a while but i love the white and black pattern and wanted to find a way to wear it that didn't look boring! Voila!....denim shirts make outfits way more fun!  I love the combination of a pattern on the bottom with a solid on top.

The belt gives the outfit more shape and adds a small accent.  I love to add belts to accentuate your waistline; more to come on this trend.

This is my favourite necklace everrrrrrr. I adore Turquoise (hence the name). This beauty will be making multiple guest appearances in the future....say hello!

These wedges have been my go to shoe allllllll summer long; they go with everything and are super duper tall but so comfortable.....a great investment; scoop these babies up on sale now!

Would you wear this outfit?  Let me know what you think friends!
